Pierre Conan is the co-founder and President of ON TARGET, launched in 2017 in collaboration with his partner Sasha Cantrelle. Born and raised in Brittany, France, Pierre’s first career was in the transport and freight forwarding industry, where he became highly skilled at coordinating material resources (merchandise, trucks, tractors and trailers) and human resources (drivers, logistics operators, order pickers, etc.). He met Sasha in Brittany and later moved to Paris to study history at the Paris-Sorbonne University IV. Together, they had the idea and vision to launch ON TARGET, based on their shared goals. As President, Pierre brings great managerial and organizational skills to the team, along with his extraordinary ability to manage deadlines, adapt quickly to changing situations, and surpass client expectations. His main mission is to grow ON TARGET’s business throughout France and onward globally.

Sylvie Nault began her advertising career in 1982 working on the Merck Frosst and Toys “R” Us accounts. She then did a stint in event coordination and public relations before joining Publicité Martin in 1993 as an account executive and translation services coordinator. She fell in love with translation, and learned her trade alongside some of the best translators, copywriters and creative people in the industry. After taking a government-subsided training program in entrepreneurship, she established herself as an English-to-French freelance translator in 1999. Lured back to the agency world, she joined Beauchemin Communication Marketing as an account executive in 2002, servicing clients such as Agropur, Québec-Loisirs, the Quebec Order of Engineers and Wawanesa. Her efforts to develop the agency’s pharmaceutical business paid off when her team won the 2004 Silver RX Club Award for international creativity in pharmaceuticals in New York; the Dialogue on Acne won a prize for Innovation and Creativity in Direct Marketing at the 2003 Quebec Direct Marketing Association Gala. She returned full time to freelance translation in 2005. Sylvie will promote ON TARGET to Canadian start-ups and SMBs, manage clients’ multilingual projects, and head up the company’s international operations.

Dave Lalonde studied Chemical Engineering at Michigan Technological University before serving seven years of active duty in the US Army, concurrently absorbing and learning the cultures of Germany and Egypt. In 1999, he founded ACE Tech with his brother Rich, establishing a Detroit-based technology and digital marketing firm that catered to the North American automotive industry. In 2007, the brothers acquired their first dealership. ACE Tech enjoyed steady growth and for five years straight, from 2012 to 2016, the company made the Inc 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the USA. In 2016, it was acquired by Internet Brands, whose acquisitions also include Chrome Data and WebMD. Seeking new challenges and wanting to continue his upward trajectory, Dave is excited to be part of the ON TARGET launch team. He is responsible for Business Development and Marketing, and will be building a technology-based global infrastructure for delivering best-in-class service to the translation company’s employees, suppliers and clients.
